Yes, this seems like a very solid build for what you are going to be doing with it.
You may not be able to max out those higher end games like BF4, but It is still great.
I am still rocking an old 955 BE and a HD 7770, which in comparison, pretty much suck.

One thing, though, i would recommend an open air cooler for that 970, but those don't see, to get as loud as the AMD ones.
But that is still up to you.

Yeah, you can get a 2tb seagate barracuda for around the same price as a 1tb WD, and it would still be pretty good.

As the 4460 is not overclockable, you do not need z97 and could save some money by going with h97.

Thanks for you help, one other thing i'm looking into is getting a GTX 780. Would this be better and if so would i need any other parts?
