On the threads in question I have already posted my resolution and stated that the problem is now resolved. Do I need to repeat my fix to the problem? And how do I untrack the threads in question. Thanks for your quick reply.

Only moderators and administrators have the power to permanently close a topic or remove it. All you can do is beg them for a lockdown... and there are limits to how far will they indulge you.

It always has been like that and it probably always will be. Locking topics is just too much power given in the hands of the rabbl... apologies, the preferred term is "masses".

The best you can do is abandon the thread... like I showed you.

I'm not sure why unfollowing the thread is important to you.

If you mean close it so it can't be posted to, then yes. Only us mods can do that. We are supposed to do that when we find one that has been solved. But this obviously doesn't happen 100%. I'm about to start my weekend, I'll comb through your post history when I come back from my weekend and close anything that needs to be.

You do realize that granting his request will only commission many more, right? You might find yourself overwhelmed in the future...

Oh... well then... it seems you've got your hands full. Though I don't know what all the fuss is about, one could just leave the old topics be and that's that, I think that over 90% of them don't even get looked at anymore.
