I updated everything, windows and even my MB BIOS and i am at a loss of what to do next. heres my build:

I5 4670k
GTX 970 TWIN FROZER
8GB Kingston
1TB HDD by Seagate
Corsair CX600w psu
I think my MB IS MSI Z87 45 or something like that

EDIT: I recently upgraded from a 760 yto a 970, never did I have this problem.

UPDATE: I just opened league and while i waited for league i went to go play MGSV PP and Blue screened again. I cant take this.

UPDATE #2: So i got blue screened again and i felt the heatsink and it was WAAAY too hot and i opened my case and turned on my PC and im looking at my GPU right now and the fans are NOT spinning.

UPDATE#3: I injstalled that driver and i turned on MGSV and the fans still are not spinning, I will try afterburner

UPDATE#4 I used afterburner and the fans are now spinning. I maxed out the fan speed, I will test for more blue screens.

UPDATE#5: I still got blue screened. I have no idea what to do at this point, I think i am going to return this GPU and see if I can get another one. If I have the same problem again then it must be the PSU which I HIGHLY DOUBT because of Maxwell's VERY LOW TDP

Solution
BCCode: 116

refers to a graphics card DRIVER issue.

nvidia has been struggling with their drivers the last 3-6 months. many driver releases have been bad to awful. if you have the latest nvidia driver try rolling your drivers back to 347.52; i own your graphics card, and that was the best driver nvidia released in the last 6 months for it.

So i installed that driver and the fans spun for a second only lol then stopped...

"The card is based on a nice thin dual-slot dual fan cooling solution, revision V of TwinFrozr. The TwinFrozr V’s Fans actually stop spinning below 60°C to reduce noise and increase fan life time. Zero/Hybrid Frozr is a throwback to 2008 when MSI was the first to market high-end, so that is zero noise graphics cards thanks to the fan stopping in low-temperature situations."

So i tried reinstalling my 970 and i noticed whenever i put it in the PCI slot it makes a loud SNAP. Idk if that is good

there usually are a clip on the slot on the motherboard that makes a click sound when you seat the card into the motherboard.

and as i said, i HAVE that card. the fans don't spin up (they stay off) until the card is 50C or so. you can manually create a fan curve for that card with MSI Afterburner. you can use that to make the fans spin if you're worried its too hot.
