FX6100 Temperature When Gaming

My FX6100 runs between 17-20c idle. When I play Diablo 3 for log sessions it sits around 50c. No problem there.

However, when I play Phantom Pain it sits between 65-68c -- I realize this is a much more intensive game for my computer to run but I want to know whether this is a major problem that I need to correct.

Thanks!

is it throttling or shutting down or bsod ??? that looks high -- use the amd overdrive as this guy did and do the math to see how close you art to max?

says here for what its worth max 70c

: Safe CPU temperatures are 60 degrees Celsius and below. It may still run fine with CPU temperatures, exceeding 60C threshold by a few degrees. Running the FX-6100 close to 70 degrees and higher is not recommended

thing is with the overdrive tool you get the thermal margin what shows how much head room you got between what your running and what it shows to be maxtemp

as thermal margin is 23c that means your 23c below max

well check if yur fan is ramping up as the temp rises as you seen from that link I gave how that seemed to do the trick for him . I would think at 2-5 c is not much cushion may as well say its at max with that ??

I guess if your using any overclocking may need to down clock back to stock or adjust your cooling solation in some way [fan speed - fresh paste- reseat cooler ??? ]

so its water cooled ?? I see a few guys with [new] water with the same issue with fx chips ?? all I can say is insure the pump is working fully and at speed - contact good with chip ? it would seem you can feel heat coming off the radiator when the chip gets to them temps ??
