Hi guys,
I have a 2x4gb 2400mhz hyperx beast kit and I wanted to get another one, but I can't seem to find it online. Does anyone know if Kingston replaced HyperX Beast with the Savage? Can I use a 2x4gb beast kit AND a 2x4gb savage kit at the same time, since they have the same specs?

Solution
No, I wouldn't recommend mixing any RAM unless they're the RAM that come together in the box. This is because of the manufacturing process and what chips are used, etc.

In the end, it's a hit or miss just mixing one stick with another, much less two and two.

Although it's not recommended to mix different RAM models, considering that HyperX Beast and HyperX SAVAGE are pretty much the exact same thing, i don't see why you shouldn't be able to make it work smoothly. It's a much lower cost, and, if you do run into issues, worst case scenario is that you run into a few compatibility problems and system crashes... Nothing that can cause harm to your PC. I actually had the same problem with the same two memory stick models, and i decided to take the risk. After inserting all of my RAM sticks into their DIMM slots, and actually placing them 1-3, 2-4 in order to activate dual-channeling, i fired up my PC and did run into a few minor screen flashes and experienced one system crash... However, after fiddling around with the memory in my BIOS and CPU-Z, switching up the positions of the RAM, i was finally able to get everything working like a charm. It might just be a coincidence that my RAM ended up working, and that yours might not, but i highly doubt it. Hope this clears things up! :D
