So i'm currently using a windows 7 machine and I reformatted my flash drive to be a bootable usb and moved the .iso file to it. I have just built a new computer and attempted to install ubuntu with the .iso file, but all i'm receiving from BIOS is that i need to select a boot drive and press enter. That said, I have been into my bios settings and moved usb drives to the front. If it helps, my mobo is uefi compatible and the flash drive is formatted as fs=fat32 quick

Solution
You should create bootable USB drive using a tool like unetbootin or linuxliveusb. If you just have copied the .ISO file to the USB drive, it wont be bootable.
