I suspected that might be the case. There is still some missing information of primary importance which is the resolution of the monitor you're using. I'm guessing it's 1080p, but if it were 1440p that would require double the graphics muscle, so it's important to know.

Without knowing that, though, I can say that in general the hd 7970 will be fine to play current gen games in 1080p, but next-gen games will be all about DirectX 12, which is not supported by that GPU. If buying a graphics card today that you want to use for the coming years, definitely go with a Maxwell or later card. (NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti or 900 series). I'm not sure what AMD cards are compatible with DX12, but you could look that up before shopping AMD.

I have had most of the parts for some years now.. Except the gpu. Im from greece and the prices for pc parts here are seriously high so i cant upgrade my cpu now and buy a gpu. Also i dont mind if there are better parts out there asl ong as mine handle the games at medium-high graphic settings, mid range resolution and 30 or more fps (i dont care if its 30 or 60 fps)

Its 1080p. And yeah i want to use the pc for the whole lifecircle of this generation so i nees a suitable gpu. I might upgrade the cpu in the future if this one proves to be too weak.

No but if overlooked?. The difference in what ghz he will reach is really small.
