Hi, I am upgrading my PC. I have two new Kingston 8GB 1866mhz RAMs, my aunt is travelling to the US (I live in Argentina, things are more expensive here) and I'm buying through Amazon a GTX970 and an i7 4970k on Saturday so she brings them on her way back. I currently have an Asus m5a78l-m lx3 motherboard, a AMD FX6300 six core 3.5ghz processor. Doing some research I found out that my processor is ok, but will bottleneck the gtx970, and that I can't use the i7 on my current motherboard. My question is, which one should I get? I've looked up a bit but I'm unfamiliar with motherboards and I don't wanna spend a lot of money if I don't have to. I can buy a Maximux VII Hero, but I don't really know if it is too much, certainly appears to, and I don't wanna spend all my money. I also need a new power supply given that I have 400w.

Finally, my budget is around $700 for the mobo and power supply. I would like to have some spare money to get a SSD

If I miss any info please let me know, thank you very much in advance!

MSI G45-Gaming. I got mine on Amazon for around $140 and its an amazing board. Overclocking is decent. I have my CPU at 4.7ghz while never going above 80°C under load for hours and my HyperX ram is overclocked to 2133

There are a few options and since 6th gen has came out there are fewer options one of the one you can choose is the Gigabyte Z97X gaming ? Up to you from 3 to 5 to 7.Another one is Asus Maximus VII Hero like the person said above. And last but not least the MSI Z97 gaming ? 3 or 5 up to you
