What is better RAM for gaming ?

So i am trying to figure out between these two pieces of ram i have.

The Kingston HYPER X Savage is a 2x4gb sticks.
The PNY XLR8 is 2x8gb Sticks.

I will include a picture of the timings it has and ( currently running it ) in XMP mode.

assuming these are the ones you are talking about, the PNY ram would be better because its 2x8 so it puts less stress on the memory controller

Both are 2x which is good, the PNY is 2133 and the higher bandwidth over the 1600 will will provide better performance in most everything you do, even in gaming, but particularly in other tasks, multi-tasking, video, imaging and the like

Both are good choices. I agree with Tradesman about the 1600 being better. As for brand, Crucial is more reliable.

I was saying the PNY which is 2133, much better than 1600. 1600 is entry level basic DRAM these days

RAM at higher than 1600 speed is not much better. Once you meet the RAM access speeds needed to keep the CPU functioning at peak performance any additional speed of RAM has only a small impact on CPU performance. RAM speed increases above 1600 do not yield linear performance gains and in fact produce very little, if any, processing value. That article also points out that depending on the game RAM can play in up to a 10% or so gain, and with newer games utilizing DRAM DRAM more and more as well as better utilizing it, expect those numbers to go up
