PC turns on for 1/2 second then turns off, with sometimes after a 5 second delay, begins booting up. If not I have to turn off at the mains, leave it for a minute then turn back on and it boots up fine.
This problem started on my original gaming rig, and persists on my new build. If when I shut down my PC after use, and turn the mains off at the wall, when I come back to it in the morning it will boot fine. It seems to happen if I leave the mains on over night. I have tried all different plug sockets in the house with different cords, same result.
Bit of a confusing situation, but I suspect it's the PSU, I don't know if it's something to do with a charge.
First off, I recently bought a GTX 980ti Gigabyte G1gaming for my original rig. Installed it, it was loud and annoying so I returned it.
I placed my r9 290 back into my original rig and it worked fine, without a hitch. Couple of days go by and one morning I go to turn on my PC and the problem I described in the title began to happen.
I used the money I got from the refund to build a new rig as I was planning to.
I built the new rig and the problem is still the same, new components but same problem. Could it be my case? I really am lost here.
