So me and my friend just moved into the University of Michigan the other day, and now he's trying to setup a connection with the university's internet. The problem is, for some reason, his xbox simply won't connect to any of the university networks for some reason. We've tried both using a LAN cable and trying the Wi-Fi, but whether we try the network "MGuest" for guests visiting the university, or "Wireless" for residing students, it won't connect because my "security protocol won't work" that's the error message we keep getting. It says that the xbox one "supports WPA/WPA2 (personal), WPA2 (personal), and WEP network security protocols, but the router is using something else". I'm wondering what other security protocols could the networks be using, and if the xbox isn't compatible with those security protocols, what other methods might there be for connecting to the internet and xbox live? Thanks for any help, this isn't exactly my field of expertise.

Thanks for the suggestion, I guess I should have thought of that. Once we contacted them they directed us to a website where he could register his device and we got it all hooked up, thanks for the help!
