Is GTX 750 ti SC a good upgrade from HD5670 1GB GDDR5 - especially for FSX?

Thank you in advance!

I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100 (2011) with an ATI HD5670 1GB GDDR5. The only game I really play is FSX (latest gold version) I like to run FSX with the highest settings possible, but I don't have any visual addons like active sky or REX.

It looks like I could drop a GTX 750 ti SC into my system without changing my power supply. I am wondering if I could expect much of a boost in FSX performance with this card.

Thank you!

Hi,

A 750 ti will be a pretty significant upgrade. Only thing is, Microsoft FSX can be a bit weird with how it runs, im not so big into it, but my friend found very little improvement from a 650 ti to a 770, and someone else on this forum found it was unplayable unless they only used one ram stick... Personally ( even though I have the steam version), I find the game very jumpy, on a high end system.

Apparently the large performance gains can be seem from a Cpu upgrade instead of the Graphics card.
