Virus taking up Ram space

For a couple weeks now, something was taking up a 100% of my ram and i couldnt figure it out. I think it's a virus, but several scans by kaspersky and malwarebytes turned up empty. I know patience is key, but i have school in a week and need this gone as soon as possible. I have a Lenovo Y40 and am using windows 8.1. In short, there is something (I think is a virus), that is rapidly eating up my disk space.

Open task manager & see if there is one particular app/file that is showing a lot of memory usage ....... post that here & I'll see what I can do.

always possible it's a virus, but usually it's a RAM hungry app/file that hasn;t closed properly.

To rule out the virus angle, download & run Malwarebytes - it's pretty comprehensive & should identify any malware.

Sorry I don't know how to edite the title, but it's not RAM its just disk space
