I'm really unexperienced when it comes to computer. But my pc was shutting off and on and off forver. so i sent it in for repair and they said it was all fine. I got it back same problem occurred i've sent it in for repair about 6 times now. They cant find the problem. But i finally opened the pc and looked inside myself for the first time. And i see a loose cable connected to my 750W battery... Like, its connected to the power supply but it doesnt lead anywhere. I has 4 pins.. and i can't find out where to plug it in. I mean if it is plugged in the power suplly it must be important right? Like i still can't get the pc to be on for more than 4 seconds,

That goes connected onto the motherboard, there should be a 4 pin slot so just put the 4 pin connector in there. The 4 pin slot should be next to your CPU & Heat Sink. If this is not the case then try too see if there is a 4 pin connection on your Video Card if not then connect that onto your video card.

that's for old hard drives. you can ignore it. in fact you can unplug the other end from the power supply and put the cable in a box - no need to have it hanging around doing nothing!

does the BIOS screen at least show up? does it stay powered up longer if it's been cold for a while? could be ram sticks not seated properly. could be cpu overheating due to missing / dried up thermal snot.

also, any reason your graphics card isn't in the top slot, but rather in the 4th or 5th one down?

BIOS screen? No it doesnt stay on for longer when its cold. I checked the ram took it out and put it back it it still just shuts off after 4 seconds. And with the graphics card. I got it like that when it came back from repair.

It used to go up to 55 degrees celcius when the first couple of days after i got it back from repair.
But then it just stopped and didnt wanna turn on again. it does it occasionally but only for like 10 minutes

Also if this helps. When i try turning it on The Dram_Led lights red then the Vga_Led and then at last before it finally shuts off the Cpu_Led lights red aswell.

the memory is those two long thin bars, near the top-right of the board. they're in the 2nd and 4th slot. if your system is running, then it's very likely they're in properly so no need to touch them.

10mins is a good amount of time. at least the basics work. if you lay your case on its side so that the graphics card is standing up like this | and the motherboard is like this ____ then does that help? could be that the graphics card isn't sitting firmly and the weight is causing it to lose contact over time. stuff sags.

oh, the block that's on the processor and has two hoses coming out - it should have a wire coming out too. where is that wire connected? are there other wires going into or out of that block? and are the fans that are connected to the radiator spinning nice and fast?

There's one wire coming out of the block and is connected to the motherboard. And there's a wire coming out of the fan which is connected to the hoses. the wire connected to the fan is also connected to the motherboard.

And also i tried connecting a screen to the pc now through hdmi but the screen said there was no signal tried with mutliple different monitors but still no signal.

hmm, try moving the graphics card to the different slots. see if there's one slot that works properly. if not, could be a hosed card or motherboard.

start with the very last (bottom) slot and work your way up, see if you stumble onto something.

Its running longer now. but i cant access the pc cause none of the screens work. I've tried multiple hdmi cables and multiple different screens.

And what does "hosed motherboard/card" mean?

Try a different connection to monitor. Use dvi if possible and make sure whatever connection is used at the graphics card is also set on monitor input. So if you use a dvi connection, set the input on your monitor for dvi. If you use an adapter, whatever is plugged into the monitor is the input you need. On your monitor will be a series of buttons, power, menu, volume and input. Use input till you have the correct wire plugged in.

If you look at the block in the middle with the hoses, and the sticks of memory, directly between the two at the very top of the board is 2 small plugs. The plug on the left is cpu_fan and there should be a wire that goes to the fan at the back of the pc attached to the big Radiator with the hoses. The other plug is cpu_opt which should have a wire that goes to the square block on the motherboard at the other end of the 2 hoses.

dvi didn't work. what now. And i can't access my pc to change any options on the graphics card. I've always used Hdmi though and now after moving the graphics card around a couple of times it just doesnt work anymore neither does the dvi, might be broken?

And yet the repair shop says nothing is wrong... So my question is, have you gotten a second opinion? If they say nothing is wrong, the it's something you aren't doing like they did, if they tell you something IS wrong, then it sounds like the original shop just doesn't want to fix your pc
