Apparently I am not able to mount a backing plate on my mobo, so water cooling and the better air coolers (Noctua D15, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, etc.,) are off the table. The CPU does not come with a fan, so I am left to find one on my own. I'd like a quality CPU cooler that I can mount with these components.

Any suggestions?

The 2011 socket doesn't require a backplate you just need the correct stand offs to mount the cooler. The Noctua D15 and water coolers fit with no problems. I have a corsair h105 installed on mine.

BTW, the poster that gave me that info replied to clarify that he didn't mean, it couldn't used, just not with a backplate.
