Hi guys,
I'm currently exercising some software difficulties. I am trying to get a dual boot going on my Lenovo Y50-70 but I run into all kinds of problems and the more forums I read, the more complex things seem to me. Let me describe what problems I’ve encountered so far and possibly someone can post a solution, as this is the third day of me trying to make this work.

Firstly please check the link to see all of the screenshots I took: http://s30.postimg.org/halsqvqfl/boot.jpg
The main problem is that my BIOS forces me to use Legacy Mode only in order to boot Windows 8.1 or the Ubuntu USB boot drive. As far as my knowledge goes... there is a problem with the boot loader and I tried to rebuild it through the CMD on my Windows 8.1 Recovery USB Drive that I created yesterday.
No luck.. again. I couldn’t rebuild the BCD by executing the following command “bootrec /rebuildbcd” in the Command Prompt. When trying to use a full recovery driver I get this: message

should I wipe my hdd clean? use DBAN or ? The main issue is that Linux Ubuntu does not recognise my Windows as installed so it won’t let me use the option “Install alongside Windows”
What are my options here… I want to have a dual boot Windows 8.1/Ubuntu on my Lenovo Y50-70?
PS: I don’t have any important data on the HDD.. just give me suggestions. Thank you.
