Just moved to a new house and for whatever reason, my router, which used to allow devices to connect seamlessly to the internet, is not working. Devices will connect to the wireless and wired network just fine, but they are unable to load any content.
I was able to connect my PC by changing the DNS server settings to static (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). Here's the article that taught me that fix. The problem is, I am not able to use this fix effectively for every device that I and my roommates would like to connect (nor do I think I should have to, even if this fix were perfect).
Basically, I am looking for some help in hopes of returning this modem to a state where new devices can actually connect without needing to change the DNS settings every time.
Firmware version: 3.04.06
Devices
Windows 8 PC (currently able to connect via static DNS fix)
HTC One Smartphone (unable to save DNS settings)
iOS & Macbook Pro (among others)
*Bump* Still no solution other than the DNS static address workaround...
