Is there things I could improve on this system to make better for this prize ($2000) point?

Hi Tom's Hardware,

I have been wanting to build a PC that is powerful and stylish and so far this are the parts I have come up with http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YYN4f7 . I want to know others opinions on this build since it be my first PC build and I don't want to build something that wont last me many years to come.

Okay I have a couple concerns..

1. I would be looking at a 6700k. The 6700k is definitely more right now and the performance difference isn't very great but some people must have the latest and greatest. I just thought I would let you know.
2. I believe the H100i GTX performs better and costs the same. Once again, something to look into.
3. Buy a different motherboard. MSI has horrible quality assurance and I would be avoiding them in the motherboard world. Try Asus or Gigabyte.
4. a. Don't buy a Micro ATX case if you are going to buy SLI 970s. I have seen way too many cooling issue with them in Micro ATX cases. If they were a reference design then maybe.. But even then they would be noisy as hell.
b. I would avoid SLI 970's. I have them. I regret having them. Thought I did my research, had many people suggest them (albeit ones who didn't too) but I still made the mistake of getting them. I am telling you, buy a single 980 Ti and it will put a much bigger smile on your face. Not to mention you can keep your Micro ATX ness that way.
5. You're paying double what you should for that SSD. Quality 120GB SSD's are $55-$70. The Crucial BX100 and Samsung 850 EVO are great.
6. You are simply over paying for that PSU. I get you like Corsair but Corsair isn't exactly known for their quality PSU's. The EVGA G2 is a great unit. This is it: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr
7. The fans you have are a nightmare to install. They actually have the most stupidly designed mounting system I have ever seen. If you are looking for sheer performance buy Noctua NF-F12's. If you like the looks then stay with them. Just please don't use any of them for exhaust because that's when they get tricky to isntall. Easy to install as intake and on a rad but definitely not for exhaust. I believe the LED versions don't suffer from the stupid mounting system.

Hope that helped. Cheers :)

oh gosh where to start....

add a second 980ti down the road when you need more horsepower. for all intent purposes a single 980ti with an average overclock will feel as powerfull as two 970s. the 6700k will oc to 4.5ghz easy as well. the system will be very quiet in that beautiful fractal r5
