I messed up moving (my) Documents to drive :d someone help?

it wont let me restore the file to the orignal :c drive

I didnt make a new folder on my "d" drive when i chose to move the folder in the first place...was reading a how-to as i was doing it and they left that part out until the end.....

do i need to reinstall windows or is there a way to restore it.

i get an access denied when i try to restore it

what did you exactly move to your D drive? is it a file that a program is using? if that is the case it wont let you move it until you close that program.

For example if you are reading a word document and while it is open you try to move it it will not let you until you close Word.

nope. i was moving the location of the file "my documents" and didnt add a file on my d drive for it to move to so it alloted the whole drive as a my folders folder...lol

i got it fixed by using a registry fixer. i have them all moved over correctly so windows auto saves to my d drive now
