Lately I can't run games anymore that i normally used to, my pc has:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790S CPU @ 3.20GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8,00 GB (7,70 usable)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme6
Windows 8.1

when I looked around I found out that my shared memory decreased to 256 mb, so I tried to change it in the BIOS but when I did my pc didnt wan't to load anything anymore (I had a strange looking screen before you can login into windows 8.1).
Note: I tried every setting in the BIOS but it just didn't want to change.

Any help will be appreciated.

Solution
adjusting shared memory is depend on BIOS, some BIOS may not available that setting
but that setting may available in later BIOS version
but upgrading BIOS is risky, not just will cause your mobo failure if failed, but some hardware may not working properly
so I think you don't have to adjust the shared memory, you had better install a graphic card
besides, onboard GPU won't really improve gaming experience
GPU not only has memory, it has GPU clock, memory clock .etc
those will more affect to gaming experience

in other word, if you can raise your shared memory, it wont affect much to gaming experience
install a graphic card will more affect to gaming experience

then, about your pc performance getting lower
try check any process leak...
