Screen tearing solution for PC connected to TV LCD via HDMI in movies?

Hi guys,

I just bought a brand new gamers pc with a GTX970 strix and as for the tv connected to it via HDMI cable it is a LG SLIM LED 42SL9500. And while gaming no pb, but as soon as i want to watch a movie... i have some bad ass screen tearing...

I tried everything from taking down windows 7 aero background to making sure the graphics card is correctly set up for my screen ( 60hz refresment )... I really don't know what to do and it's been 2 month i tried... I even changed my tv screen with a newer one.

Help! can"t stand that screen tearing anymore!
thanks

http://www28.zippyshare.com/v/sAtRNIPX/file.html

this is simply those cmd prompts compiled as an exe with administrator priveleges.

all you need to do with this if youre prepared to disable uac is to drag into to your start menu & drop it in the startup folder.
Itll run on boot automatically & hopefully sort your problem.

to do this just download it ,hove over it ,press & hold left mouse button (keep this pressed down constantly)
drag over to windows start button bottom left corner
keep button pressed ,start menu will open
drag to all programs keeping button pressed
will open programs menu
drag to startup keeping button pressed
startup...
^ 3d settings don't make a difference.
Video playback uses 2d clocks & settings only.

As Suzuki says movies cannot tear - they'll playback at their native frame rate irregardless of what your screen is set to- this is normally 24,25 or 30htz.

What playback software ate you using ? What format are these video files??

Hey guys, I'm watching anything from youtube videos to vlc, videos from popcorn time or from my synology server (video station)... I tried playing with Nvidia control panel... no changes...

And I just updated flash, no changes. :(

Something i just noticed, is when I move a window fast with my mouse, there's a sort of lag, I can see the "trace" of the window for a few seconds. It's not all the time, but might be related to the pb above...

Suzuki on the ball again - game mode should disable picture processing.once on game mode press your aspect ratio button on remote & select 1:1 dot to dot or similar.
This disables TV scaling so you a get a 100% direct GPU signal.

Failing this do you have any 3rd party codec packages installed?? A lot of these do not play nicely with maxwell cards!

^ that is indeed awful - its not strictly screen tearing though.
That's windowed - is it the same if run full screen mode (non windowed)??
As I asked before do you have any video codec packs installed??

Try downloading kodi.

http://kodi.tv/download/

Try a video in that full screen mode - kodi has its own hardware video drivers & is totally isolated from anything else.ifvthe video plays fine in this its a driver or software issue.

BTW - reenable aero mate - disabling it is nonsensical - it can make things worse.

Hey again, I have :

- CPU : Intel Core i7-4790K (4.0 GHz)
- MOTHER BOARD : ASRock Fatal1ty Z97x Killer
- Graphics card : ASUS STRIX GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 - GeForce GTX 970 4 Go

Mobile bound at the minute mate so can't.

There's a conflict somewhere.

Boot to bios , enter advanced menu/chip set configuration.

Set igpu multi monitor to disabled ,save & exit.
Reboot windows & enter control panel/device manager.
Make sure no yellow exclamation marks.

Under display adapters only the nvidia card should be showing now as Intel HD graphics are now completely disabled.

Try your video again.

After this Is done.

Open start many - type aero into search box
Click Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects”

Then click the next button.

Let it so it's thing then type cmd into search bar
Right click the cmd prompt box & 'run as administrator'

Type

net stop uxsms

Then press enter key

Then type

net start uxsms

Then press enter key

Try your videos again
