Hi guys! So I was thinking about adding a ssd for booting windows and other stuff so I was checking if my motherboard supports sata 3.0 and I found this "Toshiba MQ01UBD100". I did a google search on it and nothing much really came up. My guess is that it's an hdd? but according to my computer I only have 1 hdd which is the st500 right above it.

Ps. Since the st500 is running in sata 6gb/s I'm assuming my motherboard supports sata 3.0?

not sure if that 6GB/s relates to the drive or the sata interface, but if the mobo is fairly new it should support sata 3.

[strike]the toshiba could be an optical drive[/strike].
after a second look, probably not. dunno.
