I have a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 and when ever I try to install the new drivers from AMD the screen starts getting artifacts to black screen crashes. I've tried everything that I can from using DDU to reinstalling Windows. This isnt just an issue on Windows it was also a problem at on Windows 8/8.1. Is anyone else having these issues or has anyone found a solution?

It should be noted that artifacts usually stem from defective hardware or a high overclock. With that said, make sure you aren't installing the beta drivers.
I've had the displeasure of dealing with Gigabyte before as well and they did the same thing with my GTX 970. They wouldn't even reply to my 2nd request.

If it's possible, go into your motherboard settings and set PCIe to 2.0 mode. This can sometimes fix an issue like this. Another thing to do, once again if possible, is to see if the card works fine in another computer.

In the future I would recommend avoiding Gigabyte. Half the stuff I have ever bought from them came DOA or broke within the month. It was a good thing Amazon has such a great return policy.
