Samsung 5-550 WONT Reset in ANY way(SNOW FORBES A-E 4656)

Got a cb that will not reset and my son needs it for school by Monday! It booted up saying "Chrome OS is missing or damaged."

I DL'd and used the recovery app but it just gives another error message saying "an unexpected error has occurred" whether I boot from USB (through the black plug not the blue) or from an SD card.

Have tried hard reset with the reset pin-hole on the bottom pressed and plugging in the power cable.

Have tried to boot in developer mode - same error message.

Please help!

Also now the capacity on everything I have plugged in to try to fix it is tiny. When I load the tool to fix that on my other computer, it says it can't load the driver. Help with that would be appreciated.

I got in touch with Google tech support. Between their help and a ton of research we learned that my son had knocked off a chip that helps protect encryption/passwords and such. (I don't remember what the acronym for the chip was). There was some kind of failsafe that keeps the computer from booting even if flashed when that card is displaced. Basically the computer was bricked unless we paid someone to go solder it to the motherboard and even then it might be too damaged to work. Basically, because of his actions he now has a chromebook for a paperweight. I hope he has learned to treat his electronics the way I have always taught him to now that he has seen the result of his actions. Now he is stuck with his other mom's 10 year old mac. I got him a phone for his birthday with a shock absorbing case and a tempered glass screen protector. Hopefully that will be enough to keep something like this from happening again or he is going to be living a very technologically stunted childhood. Thanks for the attempt!
