I've finally received my gtx 970. I have one 4 pin cable from my psu, and the GTX 970 requires two six pin connectors. I purchased this product to fix the problem, just wanted just to make sure that if I connected one side to the gpu and one of the two 4 pins on the other side to the one coming out of my psu if it will al work. Here's a link to the adapter/Splitter I bought. 2 x 4-Pin Molex to Dual 8 Pin (6+2) PCI Express Power Supply Adapter Converter Splitter Cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XB7PWB6/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_KD06vb3QD5C3F

Solution
First, it isn't the 4 pin from your PSU you want to use. It is the 6 pin, or 6+2 pin. Second, the adapter will only suffice if your PSU has the capacity to drive the card. Most PSUs with a single 6 pin PCIe power connector do not. Please state the make/model of your PSU.
