I'm trying to fix a friends computer. They said they uninstalled their bluetooth driver and haven't been able to connect to the internet since.
That didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but I reinstalled the driver and ensured the latest wifi adapter drivers were installed. I see many networks listed under wireless connections, and can connect to my home network. I have also verified that I can see this particular PC on my network when connected.
I can ping google, but no browsers or network applications will connect (skype, etc.). They act as though there is no connection ('You are not connected to the internet', from chrome, etc.)
Any ideas?
PC: HP Pavilion 15-e041ca Notebook running Windows 8.1 x64
Modem/Router: Motorola SURFBoard SBG6580
