Hi,

my PC has a Asrock 970 extreme4 board, a FX 8320 CPU and a XFX 280x card. I upgradet my Windows from 7 to 10 and i would like to use the UEFI mode for faster booting.
Everytime i activate the Ultra Fast Boot option, my pc won't boot up anyome. The Fan starts, but my monitor won't wake up from stand by. Only a CMOS wipe helps to get my pc back to life.

Solution
While researching the web, I found following information about usage of Ultra Fast Boot with Windows 8. This may apply to Windows 10 too. For use with Ultra Fast Boot, you need following:
* Windows - 64 Bit must be installed with UEFI enabled
* After installation, every driver have to be installed (especially the motherboard)
* Enable Ultra Fast Boot in UEFI
If you enable this, then legacy Bios and hardware support is not given. Also no usb hardware should work (not sure at this point), unless Windows is loaded drivers.
* It is recommended to disable all other UEFI options, besides „Windows Boot Manager“.
You should not be able to enter UEFI at start of your pc. There are programs to use, for entering it, if Ultra Fast Boot is enabled...

I can't recommend doing this.
