I recently have been shopping for a brand-new gaming rig as I begin my second year in high school. Originally, I had been keen on purchasing a full-tower machine to fit underneath my desk, but I have recently come across the Razer Blade. Now I can't seem to decide on which one best suits my needs. Any help?

For some background information, I'm currently using a Macbook Pro late-2010 shithole as my main machine. I like to lurk on reddit and generally browse the web in places the living room, kitchen, etc., and move around A LOT while using it. This would explain the need for the Razer Blade, as it is very similar to the Macbook in terms of weight, height, and overall size. I also play a lot of games on my brother's custom system, which is probably worth around $5,000, hence why I am looking into some hefty hardware. However, the specs and price of the CyberPower Black Pearl full-tower far outweigh that of the Razer Blade, but I don't know how I would do adjusting it. Yes, I do plan on keeping my current Macbook as it is too lame worth selling, but I will most likely hand it over to my younger brother. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance.

P.S. : I had already posted this topic in this thread around 30 minutes ago, but I accidentally clicked the "Solved" button on someone else's reply. Sorry for the repost :(

You should really build your own at this price point. You can either save a helluva lot of money and get similar performance, or spend the same amount of money and get a vastly better machine.

Here's an idea to save money but keep performance: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/y7mzTW

As you value size, I went for pretty much the smallest possible case with a MiniITX LGA1151 board.

I've had a talk with my brother and we've both agreed building a system for the same price, thus greatly improving performance. Thanks :)
