Hi, so i get this annoying unknown problem on my Geforce GTX 645 , The fan of my card stops when i open a game
or it dosen't even turn when i open my PC, and cause of this my card starts overheating and my screen turns black.
I tried to open it and clean the dust and downloaded Nvidia experience , updated my card and i still having the same problem.

Any solutions :??: ?

thanks!

fan is most likely dead, I would try to remove it, and get a replacement fan. but after some looking I realize that there do not seem to be any fans that are made for it, which means you can A, get creative and tape a fan on top of the heatsink, or B get a new card.

The fan is probably dead or there may be other malfunction in connection. It'll be best to get a new card than to repair this one. GTX 645 is old. You can try the 740 or the 750 those would be better. If budget supports go for the gtx 950 it will be best. Do not run games on that pc. You may end up burning your gpu, then you can't even sell it.

thank you for the solutions Robert, I forgot to mention something else about the fan. When i start the PC like i said the fan dosen't turn so, i touched it and its turning again but after 5 minutes it stopped for 2 seconds and started again then stops then the screen turns black cause of heat, i have waited till the card gets cold and did the same progress but still the fan turn and stop , so any other options or i'll go wih option A.

Hello again Robert,Dudio and Diganta :)
I found out that my 4 pin fan wires are the problem, there is one wire that isen't Welded so i took off the cables and planning to weld all wires again to the fan but the problem is, that i lost the correct order , the four wires are all black colored and i had no idea how to weld them , there isen't even + or - on it! I googled 4 pin fan wires and found the order , all done the wires are welded and then i started it , the results are that the fan works but with a maximum speed! and does hell of a noise , downloaded MSI afterburner to ajust it but the default GPU fan speed is at 40% and ajusted it manually but nothing changed the fan still spinning with that incredible speed!
So did i mess up welding the wires in order or what?

Thank you Robert.!
If there is any guide or something shows the order of the 4 pin wires it will be easier for me to weld it without any mistake , i just want to make sure.
...thank you again!
