I currently installed a new graphics card (evga geforce gt 440) into my HP Pavilion 500-267c and the new graphics card is installed but is not recognized by my computer! I tried to uninstall the graphic card that is already in the PC (intel hd graphics 4400) but I could not find it inside the PC. I was wondering can I use both at the same time and how can I fix my unrecognized graphics card?

Solution
Did you plug the monitor into the card? BTW, Intel Integrated Graphics is on the CPU, not a card. But uninstall those after the NVIDIA ones are in. Also, I might return it and get a R7 240 or GT 630 as they use less power and are much more powerful than the GT 440 which is only a bit better than Integrated Graphics, for only 10-20 more. (I assume you paid ~$30).

When the computer is turned on with the card in the monitor will not turn on. I assume its because my power supply or its not plugged to the monitor and if its a plug in to monitor problem the plug does not fit
