I moved a few months ago, and recently had my computer (purchased January 2012) shipped up to me. Unfortunately, the video card and motherboard were damaged in shipping. Fortunately, the insurance claim paid out, so I was able to replace the video card. Now I am working on finding a replacement for the motherboard.
As mentioned in the title, the damaged board is an ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3. It still works for the most part, but one of the PCI express slots is destroyed, and there may be other problems. I have been getting some weird issues that I certainly didn't have in the pass, and memory and CPU diagnostics have been clean, so I would definitely like to replace the board if possible. That said, I can't find any available Z68s for purchase except a few very expensive options.
So, I was hoping someone might be able to recommend an equivalent board that will be within or close to the amount the insurance paid out ($85). I can pull in a bit more money for it if really needed, but I am hoping there will be something in that range. The CPU is an Intel core i5 2500k, and the case is a CoolerMaster Haf 912. If any more information is needed, please let me know, and thanks for your time.
