I was looking around for a keyboard beneath $200 when it hit me, I have no idea what I am doing.

Do you have any recommendations for a long-lasting keyboard?

Good build quality is a must. I'm wanting red or brown switches (maybe even clear) but, as I don't no much any other suggestions are awesome. RGB isn't necessary but, backlighting always helps a bit.10 key-less or not does not matter much to me.

my personal choice is brown, though i have red (no available brown anywhere when i was buying), red is ok but a tad too soft.
but in anything, you will get use to it. i just think that brown is a good middle ground among the 4 types (not sure for clear).

i had a razer blackwidow (the first version i think), but when it comes to build quality, ducky, hands down.

Corsair is the only company as of now that has the Mx clear's but have you heard anything about them performance in gaming?

As of now I think I'm going to wait for the Ducky Shine 5 but I'm unsure on whether to get browns or reds.

I've owned the Logitech G710+ for about 18 months now and am consistently happy with it. The brown switches are nice for tactile feedback with out too much click. They advertise it as 'whisper quiet' which seems like a bit of a stretch according to the remarks of people I Teamspeak with. Backlighting is of a good quality and adjustable. The number of G keys is sensible and doesn't inflate the size of the keyboard much.

Only downside is an issue I've had with paint chipping on the A and D key caps. Not clear on whether this is a known issue across this model.

As of right now I'm stuck between Brown and red switches. I mainly play Cs:GO and am now getting to the point where I can actually feel myself being held back by being unable to "ride" the keys.

Side note anyone have experience with the Corsair strafe keyboard?
