I have recently tried to have a computer built. Everything turns on (power supply, cooling fans, etc.) except the graphics card. It is an AMD Firepro W5100.

I've done research and all I find is to "plug in a PCI to it" but the Firepro W5100 doesn't even have a port to plug into anything.

Forgive me, I quickly typed this out and forgot that there is no display at all on the monitor. The fan doesn't even move yet the card itself gets a little warm.

If your cpu has intergrated graphics get in the bios by them and put primary card on "PCI SLOT" or try to conect the gpu to the monitor with another cable or see if the monitors works with another pc. Last option RMA your gpu

I've read that the way to use integrated graphics is just to remove the graphics card and plug the monitor into the motherboard. However--I've tried with HDMI and DVI--still no signal.

Everything is brand new. I got them all delivered yesterday. So what is going on? Integrated graphics don't even seem to be working.

I don't think its the monitor. I don't have an extra tower to check but I did plug it HDMI to my laptop and its working (similarly to how a projection would work).

Does that mean the monitor is okay?
