I created this thread just to find out wether the fx 8350 and new gtx 950 or the i5 4690k with the old reliable gtx 750 ti would perform better. I will be doing :

video editing

recording minecraft

3d stuff

Maybe bf4 and crysis 4

If you have an answer to my question, dont be shy to post an answer.

With a cheaper CPU you can get a much better GPU and have much better gaming performance:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($89.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($40.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($184.00 @ Adorama)
Case:...
video editing would also rely on amount of ram and type of program used, though usually the more cores of the FX make it perform better for video editing/rendering.
The rest both can do well, and performance would depend more on the GPU. I would suggest another setup, maybe an FX6300 or an i5 4460 and a better GPU like the GTX960 or even a R9 280x.

thanks but the i5 4460 and fx 6300 are too weak for me. And for the gpu.,im planning to get a gtx 970 once i get enough money. So in your opinion which setup would be better?
