I'm having issues with these two cards in games when ever crossfire is enabled, other than frequent artifacts that can be fixed by ulttabbing, the main issue I'm having is a burst of latency issues in game.
I've narrowed it down to the cards as the game returns to normal when crossfire is disabled for the application though AMD CCC.
I've been able to find no other issues like this and no solution other than running games on a single card and letting the second one go to waste.
Attached is a screenshot of the settings from AMD CCC. I've tried all option from the pulldown menu with no avail.
The issues have been present on both a hot and cold system.

All drivers are up-to-date and my specs are;
i7-4770k 3.5ghz (o/c 4.6ghz)
8gb installed ram
2x AMD r9 280x
MSI-7821
Windows 7

Does anyone know why this would be and how to fix it, or has had similar issues?

Solution
Try running the cards on all the different options available, if that fails to work try with one card at a time to see if any of the cards are faulty at all. I am not to good with Crossfire but that's what I have done with SLI and found the answer.

I've tried all options available multiple times.
I've swapped the cards over and the result was a faded out screen with constant flickering while crossfire was enabled, but normal again while disabled. It appears to be worse when running a GPU intensive program or benchmark compared to the home screen of CSGO.
This makes me think that its not a card issue but perhaps an issue with the bridges or driver? I have had both bridges on since I've had the cards and therefore do not have another one for testing.

Having fiddled around with the bridges and connections I have pined the issue down to a faulty bridge. I removed the faulty one and am now running on the one good one which must've been idle while both were connected. Benchmarks and game play show activity and frames relating to both cards working with no glitches or issues with latency.
Thank you for your input and I hope this can serve as a guide to anyone who has the same issue in the future
