Hello All-

Recently - about two months now - built my first computer (many thanks to this wonderful site and community for knowledge and know-how!). Since then, it's been used primarily for living-room gaming with my mates and some light internet browsing.

The past week and a half it hadn't seen any use, but I booted up last morning to peruse the internet and after a short while experienced a crash, then an immediate restart. I scanned the computer for viruses, didn't find anything, and Windows "reliability monitor" had nothing helpful to offer. I used it again that evening, played about 12 minutes of medium-load gaming and had another crash-to-restart.

I've tried a stress-test with furmark and peeked at the inside - CPU and GPU fans are running and working - and all seems well externally. The computer ran fine during the test.

My gut reaction is that there's a problem with the PSU, but if so I'm completely at a loss as to what's causing the problem and how to fix it. Has anyone here had similar issues/ ideas about what might be amiss?

If it helps, my system is:
PSU: Corsair CX600M
CPU: Intel I5-490K
GPU: Strix GTX970 4gb
Motherboard: MSI H97M-E35

Thanks for your time and help!

EDIT: Found idiotic solution! Turns out my building has had several outlets die in the past, and the whole wall was out. I've never been more happy to complain to management.

Moral of the story, folks - check your outlets before you post.
