Hello all, I know nothing about building a computer but want to try. I have a 1500 dollar budget for it. Will be used for editing photos and a little video editing. Will be using CS6 and PowerDirector Ultra for video. I want to have i7 processor and at least 24 gigs of ram. Would like duel bluray for burning and copy. Hope this is enough info for a list of what I need to build this. Would like to start ordering parts within the next 2 weeks. No monitor or keyboard or mouse needed. Thanks for all that respond.

Could I get by with a lesser video card? The only video editing I will be doing is taking some 30 second clips and putting in timeline and process to one movie no special effects or anything special. Then I could add a 3rd & 4th hard drive maybe with a video card half the price.

My apologies for the delayed response. You should get by just fine with a gtx 970 if you need to save money.
