Need to manually select boot device if DVD drive is connected

I had posted a question here. That has been resolved but I am facing another problem which I think is an independent issue so posting it here as a separate question.

I did mention in my prev question that my PC waits on the motherboard logo until I select the boot device manually. I have been probing into this and noticed that my DVD drive was no longer showing up in My PC

I went in digging into this and now I see that if I disconnect the DVD drive the PC boots perfectly without me having to select the boot device.

Is there any reason this is happening, is it time to replace the DVD drive?

From BIOS or UEFI, check the boot order. Maybe neither device is selected, and thus it prompts for one.

Normally it should be possible for DVD drive to have higher priority, as BIOS will skip that if it has no disk inside.

Also, from Windows Disk Management, check which of the HDDs/SSD actually has "system" partition. You have several HDDs and it might be one of of those. Windows is installed to "boot" partion but the bios will need to be directed to "system" partition. Terminology of "boot" and "system" per Windows, which is the opposite of common usage.
