Hi,

Got this PSU (Antec HCG 520M) http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=704955&fid=5022035 that has 2 PCIE 6+2 connectors together in one cable (Y cable that connects to a 10 pin socket in the PSU).

Thing is the cable the way it bends touches a lateral big fan on the case so I would like to plug in two separate PCIE cables. I have two problems/doubts:

a) need to buy another PCIE cable which I do not know where to get for this PSU.

b) I am not sure If I can use two different PCIE sockets from this PSU instead of the Y cable. probably I can but I am not 100% sure. Can I use 2 PCIE instead of the Y one for the AMD R9 380 ?

Any advice will be welcome.

Tried that, but it put pressure to both the cables and the PCIE contector on the 380 I personally do not like that.

However, if two separate PCIE cables could be connected then I do not really have to bend the cables they touch the plastic part of the fan on the lateral case (it´s a 35cm fan or so) without actually touching the moving parts on the fan.

It is the Y cable that has the second cable in U shape, see picture: http://imgur.com/EkW1kXH

That is good, I imagined but I was not sure... I think the R380 needs ~33A from the 12V, 75Wx2 as I understand it hasa a PCIE 6pin connector. Question... where do I get a spare cable ? the PSU only has one Y.

Also, those Antec PSU have proprietary connectors, so even similar PSU of the same brand will not have compatible cables, I believe the OEM is Seasonic and I had contacted them since Antec does not sell cables on their website.
