I have a Sapphire Radeon Toxic R9 270x and while I was playing skyrim the screen began to flash blue and green and black with an accompanying pop from the back of my computer. Now there are areas of blue and green pixelation in windows and after a few minutes the computer will start to freeze and things will go black and the screen freezes over and over.
Is it dead? Is it not my GPU? Can I fix it? I've been using it for just about a week now but I've also been having a noise issue with my PSU. This is my first build and help would be greatly appreciated!

PSU- EVGA 500W
Memory- Ballistix 8Gb
CPU- AMD 6 core black edition
HDD- Seagate 1tb
Mobo- gigabyte am3+ UD3P

Pop from back of computer, could be a power supply issue, which may have damaged the video card also along with it.

First thing, test with a different power supply. If that has the same issue, test the card in a system that can run it, you'll be able to tell where the issue is after that. Don't let odd power supply noises go unchecked. If it's a new system it all should be in warranty, use it, contact the parts vendors to check on things.
