I have mine 4690K on 4.7GHz stable with Noctua nh-d15 :) Air coolers are just as good as liquid coolers. It depends which one you buy of course. Noctua nh-d15 is the best air cooler that money can buy and noctua fans are by far superior...

H110 if you want liquid. Noctua nd-h15 if you want air cooling. They have almost same performance(6 - 8c cooler on noctua) but noctua is more quiet. Noctua does look really huge, but if you have a nice case in which it could fit I would go for it and it's really easy to install even tho it looks huge :p

I believe that MSI gaming mobos have a software through which you can overclock processor without entering the BIOS... Command center it's called I believe. You can overclock it through that software or if you want to go in BIOS then here's the settings:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/8227/devils-canyon-review-intel-core-i7-4790k-and-i5-4690k/2

Remove any of those "auto enhancers." Do sync per core, and raise it to 40. Near the bottom of the BIOS for that page, you should make your CPU voltage around 1.2, and start stress testing from there using AIDA64, IBT, Prime95, OCCT, etc. Once your computer reaches an instability (freezes, blue screens) during a stress test, reboot into the bios and raise the voltage by 0.25. Make sure your temps are never over 80c!

PS: I wouldn't recommend going above 4.7GHz.
