Will a a4-6300 at 3.7 ghz processor be able to run games like gta 5 and Fifa 16 with a gtx 970 at 1080p? - Faraaz Shaikh

It will be able to run those games, though the dual core A4 6300 will hold back the GTX 970. Overclocking will help only a little since you are being limited by a dual-core CPU on games that require quad core or more cores to run smoothly.

You can upgrade the CPU to an Athlon x4 860k and overclock it to help the bottleneck, but even the x4 860K will somewhat limit a GTX 970, though a lot less than the A4.

Before getting a gtx 970 get a anthlon x4 or a10 7800k. (I tried what you are doing with a i2 duo because I thought it would not bottleneck, but it did severly, when I got my new proccesor (fx 6300) I was shocked at the performance increase).

No it will not be able to run games like GTA 5 and FIFA 16 with a GTX 970 at 1080p since it is too weak and will definatly hold back your GTX 970. I recommend You get a A10-5800k And overclock it if you aren't willing to get a new Motherboard. If i were you, I would Get a FM2+ or an AM3+ Motherboard and get a Athlon 860k or a fx-6300. And if you really have the money, get an LGA1150 Board instead and get an i5 or an i3 CPU since they will better support a GTX 970. Otherwise a Low Cost solution would be to get an FM2+ or AM3+ Board and get an FX cpu or a Athlon 860k. Also, make sure you have a good PSU to support a GTX 970, I recommend a 600 Watt PSU from EVGA, Seasonic or Corsair, Hope I helped.
