Buying windows 7 to upgrade to windows 10 or buy windows 10 copy already?

Hello!

I was thinking about getting legal copy of windows OS. I was looking at the prices,
windows 7 is 14€,
windows 10 is 27€,
(8.1 is 23€..)
As you can currently upgrade to windows 10 for free, wouldn't it be cheaper to just get windows 7 for 14€ and upgrade it to 10 or it wont work like that?

I don't know where you're buying from, but "14€" is not a valid price for a legal, valid, Windows 7. Nor is 27€ valid for Windows 10.

I should mention that 14€ windows 7 is OEM key, that shouldn't be an issue to upgrade to 10?

Well, it's re-seller site which sells it for 14€, I've bought many working products from there before for much cheaper price, i'd tell the site but it's against the forum rules.

Hi

where would you find legal copies of Windows at those low prices

There are companies selling stolen windows keys or numbers generated by programs
There is no guarantee that if they work when you get them they may be made invalid later

There should be little difference in prices of genuine Windows 7, 8 or 10
all same type:- OEM System Builder or retail or retail upgrade
Home or Pro [or Ultimate not 10]

Buy windows from an authorized seller. Period.
Those prices scream fraud.

Unless you have a compelling reason for windows 10, buy windows 7.
If it is a legitimate license, you will have a free upgrade to windows 10 for the better part of a year.

You do understand the main sources for those cheap licenses is 'not for resale', or purchased in bulk with stolen credit cards, right?

Or they're in a legal grey area. Buying games for cheap from a foreign country and then reselling them in the u.s. Because a game isn't region locked.

Well usually games released in foreign countries that aren't region locked don't even have voice overs you'd be lucky to get subs. it's essentially the exact same game, more then half of the time.still shady though

Buy Windows 10 copy. There will be some problems of drivers arises mostly when you upgrade from Windows 7 and also may be you will face some bugs too if you upgrade. I already upgraded from Win7 to Win10 and I know what I have faced. Its better to install fresh copy of Win10 instead of upgrading.
