Hello everybody

I've to format my rig with following specs:
• mobo: z77 Extreme6
• CPUI: I3570k
• RAM: 8 Gb (2x4Gb) DDR3 G.Skill Ares F3 -1866C9D
• GPU: VGA MSI nVidia GeForce GTX760 Twin Frozr
• SSD: Samsung 830 128 Gb • HDD: Samsung 750Gb + WD 1000 Gb Green
• PSU: PC CORSAIR GAMING SERIES GS800 80plus

I've to install Windows 8 and then upgrade to windows 8.1. I've seen there are different drivers in the support site for my mobo for Win 8 and for Win 8.1.

My questions are:
1. After installing Window 8 do I have to install all the windows 8 driver ? Is there an optimal sequence for that ?
2. After updating to Win 8.1 do I have to install all the Win 8.1 drivers ? Is there an optimal sequence for that ?
3. do I have to install the drivers before windows completed its updates ? 3. do you suggest using driver updater software ?
4. I'm not an expert guy in formatting and installing and I'm very scared by BSOD risks (such as Watchdog violation and others) so any advice is welcome and appreciated very much.

Thanks in advance

I never do upgrades but it would seem you would need to uninstall the old os drivers up grade and install the proper drivers for the new os ?? [opinion]

so I guess just swap them out as you would with any driver update ,, properly uninstall the old and install the new ??

I all ways use the installer built in to the programs or driver packets I never used a 3ed party program for that

thing is that's a risk of a up grade - I just do new fresh installs on its own hard drive now if you have a issue you just goofed 2 os's .. your old one that may of been fine and the upgraded one cause its not working properly [more opinion]
