HIi guys, i am building a gaming rig and hope you guys help me out by recommending me a power supply that is good for this gaming rig.PSU are so complicated like 12v rail and others, i see a video at youtube saying that a psu at least need 18 amps in the 12v rail for any systems and i am confused.Below are the specs.

cpu: intel core i7 4790k

mobo: asus maximus vii hero

ram: corsair vengeance pro 16gb (2x8gb) 1866mhz ddr3 ram

cpu cooler: cooler master v8 gts

graphics card: msi gtx 980ti gaming 6g

hdd: WD 2tb black edition x1

ssd: samsung 850 evo 250gb x1 , samsung 850 evo 500gb x1

odd: asus dvd drive

case: cm storm trooper

case fan: x7 corsair air series red led fans ( i will replace it with the fans in the case)

So those are my specs. I want a psu that have enough watts to handle my future upgrades on my graphics card, mobo and cpu etc. I may overclock my cpu and gpu in the future. I don't want a psu that will burn my pc or my house......

So i want you guys recommend me a good psu for my gaming rig also for my future upgrades.
NOTE do not recommend me evga psu because my country didn't sell them.Hope you guys can help me out!

Excellent Option:
High Current Gamer 620W
NeoEco 620W
Seasonic M12II 620W
EVGA GS 650W
XFX TS 650W
XFX XTR 650W
Cooler Master V 650W

If you are not going to do heavy overclocking 600W is enough.
If you are going to do overclocking on all components even a 620W is enough, especially since the ones i listed are excellent quality.

So is corsair bad? I see many people use it in their builds. And should i go with 850W for like 2 graphics cards for the future or some cpu and mobo upgrades?

Corsair as a brand is great, however their lower wattage PSU series like CX and CS is simply not meant for gaming. They are for basic usage for basic systems like web browsing, documents, office, etc.

That is the problem not many people know about this and some youtubers recommend it which is ridiculous. I've seen $1,700 and $1000 gaming builds using CX 600. It find it quite pathetic how they recommend builds yet they use a Tier 4 PSU which may blow up or burn if it is on heavy load for a long time.

Anyways, if you are going to SLI in the future make sure that your motherboard and PSU supports it. 850 wattage should suffice for GTX 980 Ti SLI.

Your CPU and motherboard combo is still considered high end, i see no reason for you to upgrade it any time soon.

Thanks for your help.I decided to choose the cooler master v850 because i see some cable burning/melting issues for the seasonic x-850.

There is no "burning/melting" issues for Seasonic X seires, it is top notch quality reviewed objectively by professionals. Anyways the V 850 is also an excellent quality PSU.

I see that the connections of the v850 just have 18 pin mb at the top and another 10 pin at the bottom. So how am i going to plug a 20+4 pin cables into it? 20 pin can't go into the top 18 pin or 10 pin bottom right??? And the PCIe connections. There are four 3 pin . So how can i plug the 2 pin cables into a 6 pin connections???(Please help)
