Yes, it should fit fine... if you followed the instructions. Don't remove the AMD retention brackets. Just put the clips on the cooler as per the instructions for the AMD installation, and attach it to the retention brackets.

gotta love AMD for that - same socket scheme for a decade or so! i have a Thermalright cooler bought used in 2006 (but made in 2004 or before) that still fits a modern Kaveri. heck, the bracket it uses has those upright square pieces like an old Intel Socket 478.

i hate that about intel. though i recently discovered that my LGA1155 board has mounting holes for 1155 as well as 775, which means i can use one cooler on TWO DIFFERENT SOCKETS!!!111OMGWTFBBQ!
