Im really stuck on whether or not to get the 2gb Asus GeForce GTX 960 DirectCU2 OC Strix card or the Sapphire Radeon R9 Nitro 380 4gb I will be running 2 1080p monitors I would like to play and record minecraft with mods installed, titanfall, battlefield and need for speed/racing games. I would like to know whether to get the r9 380 4gb because its a newer card and has more memory for future proofing or the GTX 960 because its a similar price and seems to get similar FPS in games. i have an i7-3770, 16gb ram, an asus motherboard, and an XFX XTR 650W im currently running on the iGPU so any dedicated card will be a huge increase.

The R9 380's only advantage is really the 4gb GDDR5. The 2 cards are pretty evenly matched. The 380 isn't actually newer, it's a rebadged and overclocked R9 285. That being said, the R9 380 will probably last you longer with the 4gb.

Get the GTX 960 4GB. It uses less power, produces less heat, crashes games less, and has better reviews.

Always get Nvidia first if you want to be gaming. Radeons break and have crappy software.
