Hello guys, extremely scared rn as I think I've blown a load of money. Started up my new PC and the first thing I hear is a buzzing sound (from the mobo I believe). The system fans don't turn on however the light on the case turns on. Also, my GPU light turns on but nothing else. I hear buzzing again and the computer turns off. Help would be very much appreciated.

Besides "buzzing" are there any other adjectives you can use to describe the sound in more detail/ Can you also give a more specific area of the motherboard where the sound seems to be coming from? Right off the bat, though, if I had to take a guess, it could be a bad capacitor.

take a slow look at the pc. make sure the ram is in right and the video card is seated right. check that the 24 pin and 8/4 pin cable is connected. make sure the mb is sitting on the 8/9 mb standoff so it not shorting out. if it sitting on the standoffs see if the screws used to lock the mb down to the standofffs is shorting out the mb. also look under the mb check for any drop screws and that the mb not shorted to the mb tray.
