Is it worth upgrading the GPU and PSU of this system?

Most of the part of this have already been bought, I just need to upgrade case, replace the PSU, and add the 1440p monitor.

I will be using this system most for Graphic designing, and Motion graphics(C4D, Maya, AE).

Is it even worth going for a high PSU and GPU with this current build, or just stick with it and save the money?

Thanks.

That is a solid psu, also that is a solid card (not to much of an upgrade path for the card unless you went 970/980/980ti)

I must warn you though, i use to own the fx 8350 and when i switched ot my current gtx 970. My cpu was choking the performance of my gpu

And this thing is running really warm to be honest. Making me want to move to an i7-4xxx instead. But I use my system for rendering, and the cores are needed.

Admirable

If you are going to be doing graphics designing, 3D rendering, etc. The R9 280X will be better for you.
All you need is a good 600W PSU.

Excellent Options
Antec High Current Gamer 620W
Seasonic M12II 620W
EVGA GS 650W
XFX TS 550W

How so? I thought rendering was Cuda heavy?
