Hi guys, I have a gaming rig wich has:i7 4790k with nepton 280l water cooler and maximus vii formula.Yesterday i pressed the asus optimal mode because there said that it will encrease perfomance , my pc booted good first but after i closed it and re-opened it said overclock failed and i went back to bios and set all stuffs to default and xmp profile to show me the mhz to ram.
AND bum my cpu voltage is 1.25 to 1.28 and it has the normal speed of 4000 mhz and i think
1.25 to 1.28 voltage of the vcore is not normal and my temperatures with the watercoler are too high like 38-40 C degrees and mobo is 31 C. What can i do? Help me please . Thanks

Solution
Optimal mode is not Overclocking mode and it changed your BIOS settings, to Super Safe Settings that will not support an overclock.

You need to hard clear the CMOS settings, (check your manual for how to do it), and then go back and manually put in your settings like you had previously set them, (hopefully you wrote those down), before you clicked the optimal radio button.
